Bonnie's Story
Life
WOW! Has it really been 27 years since graduation?! I'm still married to Bill, we have a grand life together, having married right after my HS graduation. Our 3 boys are grown, 2 married and the "baby" just graduated from HS. We moved from TX to MO 7 years ago for Bill to complete his education in Pastoral Ministry, which he has done. Currently, I'm looking at options to complete my MSN, while still working working FT. I've been in nursing my entire career; I've been a bedside nurse (mostly critical care), a transport nurse (ambulance & helicopter), a preceptor/peer mentor, a manager, an educator, and a nursing school administrator. I recently interviewed for a new position in Nurse Recruitment & Retention, which I was offered and will begin at the end of August! I'm excited to embark on a new avenue of this profession that I love and respect so much.
Bill & I desire to Pastor our own church, and we believe that passion will soon become a reality! Up to this point, we've served as volunteer staff teaching, doing alter ministry, seminars, etc.....Expand for more
. basically whatever was needed.
As most parents, we're extremely proud of our boys. The oldest has a degree in Music Composition (he is an incredible musician---no idea how those genes were transferred!) and his wife has a degree in Science; she'd like to return to school to get a degree in nursing (where'd she get that idea?!). Our middle son is working through a degree in Criminal Justice and is also a drummer; his wife is in nursing school (hhhmmm...). My "baby" is a theatre nut who loves acting, directing, videography, writing---you name it, if it has to do with theatre or performance, he loves doing it. He will begin his Gen Ed classes in August, on his way to a degree (and he hopes a long career) in Theatre.
Lets see....I also enjoy reading, the gym (well, its not my favorite activity but it is a necessity and I have to spend time there), shopping (what woman doesn't?), traveling, and my newest creative outlet is scrapbooking. Its a time consuming and expensive hobby, but it is quite fun!
I'd LOVE to hear from any and all former classmates!
